Artist Statement

As a young media maker in the capital of the world, New York, I observe, feel, interact and learn on a daily basis. I’m mostly interested in capturing the performance art in its most natural and realistic form with still photography and video camera. This helps relate to my own perception of the world around me based on my cultural values and understanding.  I search for the things that matter, something that strikes me not just for its artistic aesthetic but its relatedness to the world it is enveloped in. It could be anything from graffiti on subway tracks, to murals or sculptor from million years ago.  I strive to bring the one-dimensional art to its most realistic form of existence and in presentation highlight it’s significant to its immediate surrounding and the issues that consume our lives.
I’m mostly interested in performing art because it presents itself with rhythm, order, and scheme. With performing art there is greater deal of depth to the subject it highlights. What really fascinates me is the fact that there is no one-way to present that one particular subject. It holds my strongest interest because it is how I want everything to be, in order, with ideas collected to make one grand performance.
I have a lot to learn and even a lot more to gain, but ones it travels through my brain and into my vain, the ideas will float out of me like a rain.
